Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Contribute your expertise to various development tasks within the university’s IT department.
• Collaborate within a sizable IT department comprised of 140 individuals, organized into four units: User support, Archive and registry, Operation and infrastructure, and System administration and development.
• Develop, maintain, and improve the “Kontarion” software solution, catering to the academic sector’s need for data-driven decision support.
• Employ agile methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle, including needs analysis, further development, quality control, testing, delivery, and management.
• Work closely with other team members and resources on the mission while also engaging in knowledge exchange with unit developers and leaders.

What you bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in R programming, including the development of R packages.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing solutions based on open-source code.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on data visualization.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the delivery, management, and operation of software components using OCI containers.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in database integrations and integrations with web APIs.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English, subject to verification during a potential consultant interview.

Preferences (Should):

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration of Linux environments.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with publication data from the academic sector.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data-driven development of decision support for the academic sector, specifically research activities.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing web applications based on R/Shiny.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Python programming.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data modeling with RStudio, SAS, or similar tools.
