Dema.ai is on a mission to help thousands of global e-commerce businesses to improve their profitability. We are a newly started and well-funded SaaS startup based in Stockholm, and are actively building on our product with beta users live in the platform. The co-founders have built successful companies and are a mix of veterans and entrepreneurs in e-comm, data science, and growth.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team and take ownership of driving frontend technologies at Dema. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building complex web applications, collaborating with design teams, and mentoring junior developers.

What you'll do

- Own and drive the development of the Dema web application, our flagship customer-facing platform.

- Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and implement the brand and design standards.

- Mentor and share knowledge with other frontend developers in the team.

- Design and implement scalable and maintainable frontend architectures.

- Optimize web performance and understand tradeoffs between performance and user experience.

- Write clean, modular, and testable code using React, Typescript, Node, and CSS.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and propose new solutions that can improve our products.

Who you are

- 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, building complex web applications.

- Proficient in React, Typescript, Node, and CSS.

- Has experience with design systems and maintaining component libraries.

- Ability to break down complex problems into smaller tasks and iterative solutions.

- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tradeoffs.

- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Passion for building beautiful and intuitive user interfaces, with a touch of animations to improve user engagement and experience.

- Experience with mentoring and knowledge sharing.
