Senior Test Engineer

Our client is looking for Test Automation Engineer to support their on-going project. This position can be hybrid. The candidate must have work authorization in Sweden. No visa sponsorship will be provided for this job.

Contract duration: 01-Oct-2023 to 01-May-2024 (High possibility of extension)

Job Description:

As a Test Automation Engineer, you would be responsible for making sure the right things are tested (have a test plan/test strategy) and that you have the right test coverage of different features. Since the product and the existing test are written in Java / JUnit, we require a solid foundation in Java programming for this role. You will be working closely with the developers in an agile team that should be encouraged to write tests themselves but you will be driving the test automation and be the one responsible for ensuring quality in the project. You will also play an important part in the strategic work ongoing within Quality Assurance Department.

Working Model: Hybrid

Your role:

• Write automated tests for backend and frontend
• Choose the best tools and most accurate tools for the project (use existing tools or recommend new tools)
• Work closely with a development team to produce robust test cases and scenarios
• Providing visibility on test results and system coverage
• Conduct test automation reviews

Must Have :

• At least 5+ years experience
• Practical knowledge of test automation frameworks
• Solid experience in test automation using Java and JUnit
• API testing Experience
• Strong Testing mindset
• Experience in Working in Agile environment
• Good communication skills (written or verbal)
• Full professional proficiency in written and oral English
• Enjoys working in a multilingual / multicultural environment

Good to have:

• AWS
• Github Actions
• Kotlin
• Python
• Jira and confluence experience

Nice to have:

• Playwright - Currently used for Front End Testing so good for interaction with FE Automated testing.
• Prior experience with Chargers for EV's, Home connected applications
