Position Summary

Work Description and main tasks:

• Design and development of Big Data Solutions
• Development to entail prototyping of such designs
• Excellent ability to dig into details and work on complex problems and explain those problems to break it down into smaller modules
• Desire to succeed and go the extra mile and take pride in your work within the team
• Participate in team Research and Development for new systems to address Big Data Infrastructure and Services and take these from concept to inception towards a Product

Requirements

• Experience of 3 years or more in the Hadoop Ecosystem to include projects such as Spark, Storm, Flume, etc.
• Cloud knowledge with a focus on development of Big Data Systems
• Development experience of Machine Based Learning
• Excellent knowledge of Linux systems
• Minimum of 5 years as a software engineer
• Excellent programming skills in Python, Java, GoLang,
• Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Scala, Hive, PIG, R
• Experience in databases such as HBase, Cassandra, Mongo, MySQL.
• Solution and results driven, self motivated
• Experience and strong understanding of Cloud technologies such as (hardware, PaaS, IaaS, Cloud services)

Additional Details:

• First hand experience in design and built Big Data Systems for Data Analytics and Data Warehousing

Qualifications

• PHD (or equivalent) is required in either Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science/Computer Engineering
• Excellent communication of English spoken and written
• Have a proven track record of contributing to opensource projects within the Hadoop Ecosystem or similar
