Fullstack engineer

Role description

At Sysmex Astrego we have an internal database with a web application and api end-points that we are using to store data from lab experiments, reference testing and production. All this data is stored in a database where we can pull, for example: yield from production, lab experiment data to make our algorithms better, or references between these to make troubleshooting easier. Your job is to maintain that database, and implement new functions from our needs.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end features.
• Collaborate with other developers to design, implement, and test software.
• Develop and maintain high quality on the database structure and architecture.
• In collaboration, evaluate and decide on new technical solutions for the application.
• Collaborate with our Production as well as R&D teams to identify requirements and develop software solutions.

As part of your growth opportunities you will, over time, have an active part in handling user requirement specifications, risk assessments and validate when new features should be implemented.

Your profile

• Bachelor/Master degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a full stack development role
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience in server-side languages as Java or Kotlin
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• A mindset that enables you to at times interrupt what you are doing and set your focus on the most important thing at hand.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience of test protocols
• Experience of and/or passion for learning more about Linux, Docker, Python and Object-oriented programming
