Scania is now transforming from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We are seeking a DevOps engineer who is enthusiastic about collaborating with cutting-edge Continuous Integration (CI) technologies and wants to play a pivotal role in our journey towards advancing autonomous vehicles. Our commitment ensures dynamic workdays, offering you the opportunity to excel and create exceptional contributions.

This position will allow you to work in an exploratory development department with equally ambitious and skilled colleagues to make autonomous driving happen!

You will together with the team:

Play a crucial role in facilitating value creation. This entails crafting and overseeing our CI pipelines, engaging in automation efforts, and facilitating seamless cloud integration. Within our system, we manage approximately 650 distinct GitLab projects. Our responsibility encompasses the setup of a robust Continuous Integration platform within GitLab and the automation of testing across diverse product modules. We regularly generate software candidates for production deployment. Each project holds paramount significance as a fundamental element of our product. Our objective is to ensure that they can be individually built, rigorously tested, and effectively released, both as individual entities and as harmonized products.

Our team:

Our team serves as the cornerstone of CI development, ensuring the seamless operation of CI build pipelines utilizing toolchain images crafted by our affiliated sister team. In terms of CI resources, we proficiently manage our CI runners (utilizing EC2 CloudFormation and Kubernetes Clusters) on the AWS platform, optimizing their functionality. To govern the underlying infrastructure, we employ Terraform as an Infrastructure-as-Code solution, enabling precise control over our setup.

Our product is utilized daily by our feature developers, imposing stringent demands on both reliability and update releases. We employ Conan as a package manager, while also utilizing CMake to oversee the build process and manage dependencies effectively.

Our dream candidate:

We think that you to have experience with and be comfortable working with at least three of the following, and interest in learning the others:

GitLab CI, YAML, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog, JFrog Artifactory, Docker, Linux, Python, Conan

It is meriting, but not necessary if you've worked with any of the following areas: CMake, CUDA (tools/drivers), Ansible, C++, QNX, Vagrant, VirtualBox, or VMware.

Personality-wise, you are a curious person who wants to solve problems. You can find solutions where others might have given up.

Teamwork is something you look for in your job and you grow by learning together with others. You are active and hungry when it comes to shaping the team’s work, and you own your tasks. We learn, laugh, and problem-solve together daily.

What we offer:

We offer multiple benefits with everything from a pension, discounted company car, performance bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours, subsidized lunches, and much more. In Stockholm, we also offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje with Scania Job Express.
We also have a hybrid work environment where we meet in the office some days and the rest of the days you work from the place that is most suitable for you.
Some days can also be done from our hub in the central of Stockholm.
