Who is your future team?
The IT Operations team is part of the Infrastructure & IT Operations department. Our main responsibility is to provide our colleagues around the world with an available, reliable and efficient IT-infrastructure and we do this by great support! We have the end-to-end responsibility from making the latest technology available to our organization to support and maintain the already installed infrastructure Our department, Infrastructure & IT Operations, work closely with other parts of the Axis organization both with the organization at the Headquarters in Lund as well as sales & production sites globally.

We Believe You'll Love this Position If...
You have a passion for Linux and like to combine your technical knowledge to build future plans for how our Linux platform should be managed during it's lifecycle. Together with the team you will deliver a highly available & reliable Linux platform, but you will take the lead when it comes to LCM-strategy and turn this into actions plans. We think you understand the basics around the technology and have the will and ability to clarify the LCM-agenda to the rest of the IT Operations & Support team. We are growing as a department and as a company so we believe you will love this position if you enjoy changes, taking responsibility and accepting challenges. You are driven by taking initiative and like the opportunity to influence the development of our Linux platform.

What You'll Do?
You will be part of IT Operations & Support organization within the Infrastructure & IT Operations department. Together with the team you will be responsible for all operational aspects of the globally installed Linux platform both central and local environments. You will work closely with the ITPO - Linux, to build a long-term supporting and development model for the Linux platform where your responsibility will be to turn strategies into plans for the IT Operations & Support organization to execute. We believe that you enjoy working together with others to make things happened and that you will love discussing technology. You will be improving the technology based on your analysis of the Linux platform but also be go to person when it comes to improvements and new requirements. We believe that you will have the ability to design and implement these requirements onto our operational infrastructure. This means that you need to stay on top of how the Linux platform is operating on a daily basis and understand both technical and non-technical requirements. You will actively be driving changes and improvements with focus on automation of the platform and enabling self-service.

Who are you?
We think that you have 7+ years' experience in an IT Operations role, daily operation and within maintenance & development. We also think you have the experience and the mindset to build and follow up on plans and consciously looking for improvements. In your previous work you have gained the knowledge and understanding of how to deliver a stable infrastructure in a timely fashion. You are also able to identify improvements both from a technical as well as from a process perspective. You are curious about new technology and are eager to take part of moving our platforms into the future. As a person you like to work together with others and are proactive in your thoughts and actions. You are familiar and have experience with Vendor Management.

We Believe You Will Need…
To have an 7+ years knowledge and experience of the Linux Technology Area in an operational environment. At Axis we include several different technologies within Linux Technology Area.

Like Debian, Ubuntu and Red Hat. We are an engineering company, so we think you share our interest and understanding of technology! As Axis, like many other companies, are exploring the cloud, we would be happy if you have experience in that area as well. We think you have some basic understanding of networking to be able to contribute fully to our development agenda. Below we have created a wish list and maybe you have experiences or knowledges in the following areas:

* Docker, Kubernetes
* Experience with CF-engine, Ansible, AWX or Salt
* Working knowledge from coding & scripting i.e. Python/Bash
* Jenkins, GIT, SVN
* VMware vSphere
* Elasticsearch
* Hashicorp Vault
