Software Engineer (Python & PowerShell)

Job Description

You will be joining a Digital Workplace Collaboration team. We aim to enable all H&M colleagues to communicate and collaborate seamlessly and effectively. As we are a small, agile team, your role will go beyond mere coding. You will be responsible for entire applications, from conception to deployment and development. With a keen focus on user experience, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and enhance tools that are user-friendly and scalable. You will contribute to all aspects of software development including design and architecture, development, documentation, testing and deployment. You will work with applications related to digital whiteboards, chatbot/ LLM and internal communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take lead from a technical point of view during pilots, POCs and implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications and new features to improve digital workplace experiences.
• Utilize your expertise in Python, Azure, REST, JSON, and DevOps to build robust and scalable software.
• Utilize your PowerShell knowledge for Windows/Azure administration and system management.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on developing APIs and applications.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Powershell
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and JSON data format.
• Experience developing in cloud environment (Azure services preferred) and familiarity with Cloud Security, IAM in a multi-cloud setting
• Familiarity with M365, LumApps and similar digital workplace platforms.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, both within the team and with a variety of stakeholders
