About the role

The digital business unit at Energy Save has been created to dream, design and develop tomorrow’s smart and connected climate solutions. Connected and well-orchestrated climate systems stand to not only replace climate hostile technology but also bring a new level of efficiency to existing green tech.

The business unit is tasked with building and sourcing a new tech stack that will allow Energy Save to offer the market heat pumps and climate systems that connect, integrate and operate better and smarter than other solutions in the market. This challenge will require a broad set of product and technology developers to collaborate, in teams at Energy Save and through partnerships with selected companies.

This role in the Control & Connectivity team will be responsible for architecture and development of our next generation of embedded smart control. Electric vehicle chargers, PV production, heat pumps and more, need to work in sync to become an efficient energy system. As an Embedded Developer, you will have a key role in making Energy Save’s heat pumps the best choice when developing these energy systems.

Who you are

We believe that you have 5+ years of experience in embedded development, where you feel confident in working in all parts from planning and requirements exploration to implementation and testing. You happily combine your programming skills with requirements mapping and communication with partners.

Should-haves

· More than 5 years of experience in embedded development

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience

· Previous knowledge and experience working with c, c++ in a Linux environment

· You can easily adopt new technologies and tools

· Experience in IOT and connected devices

· Experience working with GIT, Jenkins and Jira

Nice-to-haves

· Experience working with Rust and/ or Python

· Experience of using connectivity technologies like BT and Z-wave

· An interest in AI and/or ML

· Experience using scrum methodology in your day-to-day work

What you’ll do:

· Develop Energy Save’s capabilities within control software and hardware as well as connectivity

· Analyze control and connectivity requirements from a range of processes, initiatives and product development

· Implement our next generation smart control together with colleagues and partners

To thrive in the role, you are initiative-taking, creative and rely on critical thinking. You have a great interest in technology and like to follow the development of new techniques and tools, which you bring with you to work and are happy to share. At the same time, your interest in technology has given you a good sense for determining when a new technology is mature enough to bring into a production tech stack.
