Our job is to keep society running. Making sure that food gets to the grocery store, hospitals have electricity, and that people can commute to work. We do that by making sure that Volvo Group trucks, engines, buses, and construction equipment keep running uninterrupted all over the world. Together with other talented people from a diversity of backgrounds and with a wide variety of skills we make sure that spare parts are available when they are needed in a sustainable distribution network with thousands of dealerships. To make that magic happen we combine supply chain knowledge with data analytics in an exploratory environment where organization and hierarchy are less important. Our contribution is to forecast spare parts demand, and optimize the inventory to manage that demand, through a close collaboration with Volvo Trucks, Bus and Penta and the rest of Service Market Logistics. We do that by building our own cloud native solution on Azure, called PlanIT, which will be at the center of everything we do.

As a Digital Developer you will be part of an agile DevOps team that is responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and deploying software applications in a cross functional and global environment. Here you will be able to maximize the value of our products by combining software development skills with supply chain domain knowledge​, all while securing long-term development of state-of-the-art products.​ Additionally, you will play a key part in continuous upskilling with colleagues to reach deeper skills in a broader spectrum of technology and domain.

• Knowledgeable in the supply chain domain and able to digitalize the process
• Skilled in developing microservice solutions using Python, SQL, docker, Kubernetes
• Professional in agile product development as a developer of a DevOps team
• Experienced in Azure cloud services, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory
• Capable of scheduling and monitoring the run-time of a cloud native application
• Used to think, reason and the craft around simulations and optimizations
• Curious to leave well-trodden paths and engage cross functionally
• An ambitious self-starter who enjoys a good challenge and creative problem solving
• Proficient in effective English communication with peers and senior management

We need you to have strong analytic and software development skills. You like to work with large amount of data to and is experienced in creating technical solutions that meet the quality expected of a professional solution. You have experience within logistics, forecasting, and inventory management, as this is the core of our business. Required University studies within Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant path.

In this position you will report to the Head of Demand & Inventory Planning VT, Penta and Buses in Supply Chain Optimization. Location for the position is Gothenburg, Sweden.
