Job Description

Will you support us in consolidating our SAP landscape and bringing it to S4Hana?

Vattenfall has a large SAP footprint in IS-U, CRM, HR, Treasury, ERP both on-premises and in Azure – and changing due to ongoing migrations. As our ERP landscape is holding data, critical to society it is therefor regulated under the national Protective Security Acts, requiring a keen eye on security. Furthermore, our ERP landscape plays a key role in advancing OT/IT convergence. With that, enabling Vattenfall’s maintenance jobs to be directly driven by the asset, connected through IoT technology and facilitated by predictive algorithms to pre-empt failure. As SAP Technical Architect you will be working on interesting strategic projects like:

• consolidating our ERP landscape
• migration to S4Hana
• supporting ongoing carveouts and -ins

You will have a dynamic role where you half of your time will contribute to projects – which could range from solution selection and due diligence on vendor’s IT offerings. The other half of you time will be developing strategy, technology roadmaps, managing the application portfolio and explaining and ensuring good architectural practices within the (agile) teams.

You will join an international and highly experienced team consisting around 35 IT Architects working in the Vattenfall Group IT-architecture department.

Your key activities will be:

• Understanding business needs and help them to define innovative, yet stable and secure solutions in a regulated business environment
• Project & Architecture Management, providing clear and justifiable architectural decisions towards projects

Qualifications

We are looking for an Architect that has worked in Technical SAP architecture for several years and is able to quickly oversee IT landscapes and impact of decisions. You feel comfortable communicating with both IT and non-IT colleagues in English and on different levels in the organisation. You enjoy being in an ever-changing environment. Furthermore you bring:

• An academic degree in a relevant field
• good understanding of implementing SAP landscapes, networking, infrastructure and databases
• skills to produce enterprise ready architecture documents
• skills in SAP Technology Architecture and Infrastructure Architecture;
• understanding of SAP Basis Administration
• understanding of hosting (wintel, linux), databases (HANA, Oracle), networking, HA/DR setups, preferably also related to Azure.
• a technical background in ECC, HANA, S4, SAP NetWeaver – and conversions.

Location: for this position you can choose to be based Sweden (Stockholm, Gothenburg a.o); The Netherlands (Amsterdam) or Germany (Hamburg, Berlin). Limited travelling will be part of the position.
