Software Engineer

SAGA Diagnostics AB is looking for a talented and highly motivated Software Engineer with strong interest in advancing our mission to revolutionize cancer diagnostics through proprietary ultrasensitive technologies that measure circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in minimally invasive liquid biopsies such as a simple blood sample.

About the job:

• Development of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) written in Python, using Flask and PostgreSQL.
• Continuous improvement, administration and maintenance of the application.

Required qualifications:

• Experience with PostgreSQL (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Git
• Experience with back-end web-development; ideally with Python/Flask
• Experience with frontend technologies like HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including the ability to deploy and manage containerized applications in a cloud environment.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, but not needed if the candidate has sufficient work experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders both in person and remotely. Fluency in Swedish is a plus.

Not required but a plus:

• Familiarity with CI/CD
• Familiarity in Agile methodologies and development processes
• Experience working in a regulated environment

Primary location: Lund, Sweden.

Hours: This is a full-time position.
