We are on an exciting journey within e-Health and need to strengthen our team with a senior Backend Developer who shares our vision of care, free from administration. The development of Webdoc-X began in the spring of 2021 and has a clear mission to become a complete record system for healthcare providers in Europe. Currently, the product has users in the UK, with a plan to be present throughout Europe in the future.
About the role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work with the new development of Carasent's, web-based journal system Webdoc-X, a product that contributes to more efficient and safer healthcare. You will mainly program in Kotlin (Java-based) and work with the development of cloud-based products and systems. You will also take a leading role in bridging gaps between code and infrastructure. You will be working with our CI/CD pipelines and monitoring our microservice repositories. For this to work efficiently are we using the latest technologies relating to Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Since patient safety is central to our products and we therefore handle very sensitive data, you need to value meeting requirements for high quality and operational reliability.
The development work is largely team-based, based on an agile way of working, we are looking for you who like cooperation with others and actively want to contribute to achieving common goals. You enjoy reflecting and evaluating work processes, requirements, and technology choices on a recurring basis.
Your profile
We believe you have a few years of work experience as a Kotlin or Java developer. You have experience working with development in larger systems. You have worked as a DevOps Engineer or within a DevOps Team. You understand how to set up, manage, and deploy chains. You know that to be an engineer means to never stop being curious about troubleshooting or problem-solving. You have a strong will to always learn new technologies or ways of working. Curiosity, quality, innovation, commitment, and honesty are qualities that distinguish Carasent Sweden's organization and culture, therefore we believe that this is reflected in you.
Key experience:
- Experience with Kotlin or Java
- Experience with Gradle, Spring Boot
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm
- Interest in agile processes and methods
- Swedish or English language skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with medical devices or FHIR usage
- Experience with Bitbucket (Pipelines)
- Experience with RabbitMQ, JPA (Java Persistence API), Keycloak
