Position Overview:

As a Data Engineer, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, privacy-compliant CoDev data products in both raw and refined forms, tailored to meet the needs of a data-driven development environment. Your responsibilities include the maintenance of robust data pipelines, which are crucial for integrating CoDev driver feedback and relevant metadata from disparate systems into coherent tables for diverse applications. Ensuring both the uptime and the integrity of the data is essential, as this underpins the value derived from the reports by all stakeholders, including development teams.

Your expertise will extend to managing signal and diagnostic data from vehicles, making it accessible in varying degrees of granularity. This data is not only raw but also refined, catering to different user requirements.

Furthermore, you will craft descriptive overviews of the datasets to facilitate stakeholder comprehension, allowing for a quick and clear understanding of the data products being delivered. Collaboration is a key aspect of your role, working in tandem with fellow Data Engineers, software development teams responsible for creating the tools used for data collection and distribution, as well as architects involved in the product and platform development process.

Your interaction with users will span different levels of data proficiency, highlighting the importance of versatility and clear communication in your approach. Your work ensures that users, regardless of their familiarity with data, can leverage the insights provided to enhance the quality and performance of the products they engage with.

You and your skills:

Your role is integral in shaping scalable product solutions with your expertise across system and software development, programming, system design, and database management. You possess the independence to innovate and refine our data solutions and take pleasure in applying new problem-solving methods and tools.

You are well-versed in Python, experienced with Git/Gerrit for version control, and adept at configuring Docker environments and Jenkins pipelines. Your analytical skills are evident in your ability to create compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards, with a preference for candidates familiar with Power BI.

Experience with large datasets, test program development, and knowledge of Azure, Snowflake, API management, and SQL are considered valuable assets. Your qualifications include a Master's in Data Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, and you are fluent in English, ensuring effective communication.
