Academic Work is looking for a technical writer to our client in the industry of life science.

This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant for our client.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
As a technical writer you will be working in the technical documentation group of seven people at the company’s office in Uppsala. Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for producing digital versions of technical documentation for products such as disposable chromatography columns and large industrial-scale chromatography equipment. Technical documentation covers things such as pack leaflets, user manuals, safety instructions, getting started guides etc. Furthermore, the team will update existing material and also work closely with the research and development project team to develop the content for new product introductions.

Briefly, you will:

* Write, edit, and lay out the material for production in print and digital formats.
* Produce technical documentation for new product introductions

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
Has a BSc, MSc or PhD in natural science or equivalent. Further, we see that you have experience of technical writing and that you have been working with desktop publishing platforms such as FrameMaker or similar. Furthermore, English is either your mother tongue or else you have experience of technical writing in English.

It will be considered an additional qualification if you have:

* XML-based CMS skills
* Knowledge of Astoria CMS
* Experience of working with information mapping
* Experience in digital platform publishing, e.g. FrameMaker

You take the initiative to ensure that you have all what you need to accomplish your tasks successfully. Furthermore, you are meticulous; you follow the quality standards required for the work and pay attention to the details to make sure that nothing is left to chance.
