Are you a data enthusiast with a passion for building and scaling data solutions? Do you thrive on enabling teams to harness the power of data? We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Tech & Tools (TnT) team .

Job summary:

As a Data Scientist in our Tech & Tools team, you will be part of a central technical enablement team in Analytics with a focus on reusability and scalability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data tools, best practices, automating workflows, and enabling the company to use data efficiently. This role is crucial for ensuring our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities are cutting-edge and aligned with our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development of data tools, best practices, and automation of workflows to improve efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making.

Improve and extend our cloud notebook platform, ensuring data scientists have the tools they need to collaborate and work with data efficiently.

Work closely with Looker, data modeling, and metrics to drive consistency and adoption across our business domains.

Collaborate with stakeholders across analytics, machine learning, and product teams to enable them to work with data in an efficient way.

Work closely with the Data teams to extend the capabilities of our Data Platform.

Requirements:

A passion for solving complex data problems and building data products.

Experience with software engineering, data science, and product analytics.

Strong coding and problem-solving skills.

Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and modern data platforms.

Proficiency with Google Cloud, Looker, data modeling, notebooks, and Python.

A track record of building data tools, automating workflows, and establishing best practices at a fast-paced tech/product company.

Great communication skills with the ability to adapt technical topics for less technical audiences.

A pragmatic mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions and making an impact.

Preferred Qualifications/ Bonus Skills:

Experience with fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Data engineering experience (Terraform, Airflow, Kubernetes).

A strong business and product sense.
