Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead – Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Lead data engineering initiatives with a focus on modern cloud data platforms and advanced analytics environments.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for building, optimizing, and supporting existing and new data products.
• Champion a DevOps mindset and principles, managing CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Cloud infrastructure (GCP).
• Implement role-based access controls and adhere to data governance policies when handling sensitive information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication.

What you bring:

• 10-12 years of experience in data engineering, including at least 4 years of hands-on experience as a data engineer on modern cloud data platforms or in advanced analytics environments.
• Alternatively, hands-on experience as a software engineer with cloud technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience in different data formats (Avro, Parquet) and data query languages (SQL or similar).
• Data-centric programming using Python, Java, or Scala, with a preference for Python experience.
• Good understanding of different data modeling techniques and trade-offs.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and RDBMS databases.
• Experience in GCP tools such as Dataflow, Dataproc, and Bigquery.
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Beam, Spark, Hive, Flink.
• Management of CI/CD pipelines and Terraform, as well as Cloud infrastructure (GCP).
• Understanding of data security principles and implementation of role-based access controls.
• Collaborative and co-creative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Motivated to work independently in an environment that encourages decision-making.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Previous demonstrated experience in building retail customer segmentation is a plus.

Required cloud certification: GCP is good to have.
