IT & Cybersecurity Engineer

Hurricane in the Bahamas, a flooding in Germany, forest fire in Värmland or an important interview in a refugee camp in Syria. The telecommunication infrastructure is vulnerable to natural disasters, governmental intervention or simply limited due to inadequate coverage. This is where Satcube comes in to enable doctors, journalists and first response to establish a satellite internet connection in under a minute.

Satcube's goal is to provide highly portable satellite communication devices that can be used by anyone, anywhere. In order to make our products and service offerings even easier to use we are looking for an IT & Cybersecurity engineer to join us.

What is the job about?
As an IT & Cybersecurity engineer you’ll be working to increase the resilience against cyber threats in all parts of the company. You will also be managing our IT services and networks. In your role you’ll be responsible to:

- Improve and run IT-systems and networks in the company.

- Design and go through cybersecurity training with Satcube employees.

- Improve our routines, governance and technical aspects.

- Collaborate within Satcube and answer questions regarding IT or cybersecurity.

- Stay up to date on OWASP and other new developments within the field.

Required experience:

- A relevant bachelor or master's degree

- A drive to make changes and improvements by your own initiative

- A friendly coworker

- A fundamental understanding of Cybersecurity for companies, products and online services

Desired experience:

- Git (Gitlab)

- Python-scripting

- Managing and setting up networks

- IT systems and processes

- Cybersecurity best practices

- Explaining cybersecurity to non engineers
