Software Developer

This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. A day in the Life

As a software developer you will mainly work with development and maintenance of applications for controlling our Phadia Instruments.

The software team provide several desktop and web application products, which are used for running Phadia Laboratory Systems and for the world-wide support of instruments.

In this role you will use C#/.NET with Microsoft's latest development environments and tools. There will also be opportunities to work with web services and related technologies and tools.

Development of specifications based on customer requirements

Design, development and testing of software

Participate in the verification work

Participate in and drive new ways of working, including introducing new technologies

Working with risk management and handling of complaints in accordance with our quality management system

Writing and updating design documentation

Participate in product maintenance and 3rd line support to our customers world-wide

Communication with product owners and other stake holders for alignment and updates

Education

Master’s degree or similar in computer science, systems science, engineering physics or similar


Experience

At least 3+ years preferred of work experience as a full-stack software developer

Experience from cloud based technology

Through knowledge in C#, .NET and Blazor

Databases, SQL and Entity framework

Medical device software development


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

We develop software for diagnostic systems under regulatory requirements, so you need to have a solid personal integrity and awareness of the importance of documentation, rules and procedures that need to be addressed.
