Senior Backend Engineer

Dema.ai is a well-funded SaaS startup based in Stockholm with 20+ employees with a mission to help thousands of e-commerce businesses improve their profitability.

What we are looking for

We're in search of a Senior Backend engineer who will contribute to the system design of our backend infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are secure, reliable, and performant. Your key responsibilities will be to build robust and scalable backend systems, integrate with third-party systems and APIs, and maintain our data pipelines.

What you'll be doing

• Design and implement efficient and scalable backend systems to support our products and services.
• Integrate with third-party systems and APIs to enable seamless communication between systems.
• Maintain data pipelines to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and available for analysis.
• Work with the Data Engineering team to design and implement data models and schemas that support business requirements
• Contribute towards system design and architecture of our backend systems

Technical Skills and Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in building backend systems using Node stack (preferably Typescript). Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• You have experience or experience building data-intensive B2B SaaS applications.
• Good understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience with data modeling and familiarity with relational databases and analytical data warehouses.
• Familiarity with modern data stacks and data orchestration tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues

To be qualified for this position, you must have the legal authorization to work in Sweden (work permit or residence card) or be a citizen of the European Union. Dema is currently unable to provide assistance with this process.
