As a Senior Backend Developer at Carasent, you will get the opportunity to work with new development of Carasent’s web based journal system Webdoc EU. Besides building a brand new product, you will be able to do so with technologies such as Kotlin, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and PostgreSQL in a microservice architecture. Carasent is on an exciting journey within e-Health working towards the vision care free from administration. The development of Webdoc EU began in the spring of 2021 and has a clear mission to become a complete record system for healthcare providers in Europe. Currently, the product has users in the UK, with a plan to be present throughout Europe in the future. We are looking for you who want to join us in taking our product development even further and at the same time contributing to more efficient and safer healthcare.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be working with developing Carasents web based journal system Webdoc EU. Altogether, we are about 15 colleagues working with the product in different teams; backend, frontend, UX, testing, product architecture and product management. The development work in the backend team is largely team-based (we enjoy mob programming and even have dedicated office rooms in order to do so) and based on an agile way of working in three-week sprints.

Your work tasks:

• Development of new features mainly in Kotlin (Java based)
• Cooperating with colleagues in order to achieve common goals
• Monitoring our microservice 
• Contributing in coming up with technical solutions in regards to DevOps work
• Preferably taking a leading role in bridging gaps between code and infrastructure

Qualifications

We believe that you have:

• A few years of work experience as a Kotlin or Java developer
• Experience with Spring Boot
• An interest in agile processes and methods
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Swedish and English language skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with medical devices or FHIR usage
• Experience with Kotlin
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Bitbucket (Pipelines)
• Experience with Gradle
• Experience with RabbitMQ, JPA (Java Persistence API), Keycloak
