About the team, role and responsibilities

Market Tech Index Development is a small team with members in Stockholm, London and New York. The team develops, delivers and supports Nasdaq ICS (an index calculation system) to customers around the world. Nasdaq ICS is a distributed system built mainly in Java running on Linux. It is also a complex system with very high quality and uptime requirements and we are committed to maintaining Nasdaq's leading position in the FinTech industry. And so you will be challenged in your work every day.

Our work is done in close collaboration with our global customers and so there is ample opportunity to travel to places like Singapore, Istanbul or New York. The team has members working in Stockholm, London and the NY area.

- Develop new core functionality with very high quality in a limited time.
- Building customer specific adaptations.
- Take active part in developing the product architecture.
- Collaborate closely with other internal teams ? such as development, project management, system management, on a global scale, in order to resolve issues.

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:

- Education Required: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience Required: 3 to 5 years.
- Special Qualifications: Thorough knowledge and experience of Java and/or C/C++.
- Proven experience writing clean and high-quality code.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Experience working with Linux, including scripting in bash, Perl or similar.
- Experience with Freemarker and liquibase is a merit.
- Experience with PHP and Oracle PL/SQL development is a merit.
