Senior UX/UI-designer

We are looking for an experienced UX/UI designer who can go out and assist our clients on-site as a consultant. The assignments can vary widely in terms of both content and duration, so you need to be curious about people and processes and enjoy building relationships and quickly finding a place in new contexts. Our clients have varying levels of UX maturity, so you need to be able to fit into an already established workflow and help clients develop their processes. Consultants are often brought in when time or personnel is limited, so you need to have a high tolerance for working on projects and in environments where workflows may be far from optimal.

You have at least six years of documented experience as a professional UX/UI designer, and you have a solid educational background. You enjoy navigating the border between people and technology, and you have breadth in your skills. You enjoy learning new things and are familiar with most processes and tools within your field.

You have a developed sense of color, form, and typography, as well as experience in pure UI work. You don't need to be a full-fledged pixel pusher, but you can deliver graphics that maintain good final quality and meet all technical requirements. You can also easily write clear and informative UX copy directly for end-users.

You are already working as a consultant or can consider doing so, and you have the breadth and social skills required to handle a challenging consulting role. You enjoy people and have a humanistic perspective, and your work always starts from the needs, possibilities, and limitations of others. It is a plus if you also have an interest in design theory, a good grasp of the processes around ideation, and are accustomed to taking a facilitating and advisory role to help clients or product owners understand usability.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience in UX & UI work

- Strong sense of color, form, and typography

- Can effectively lead workshops

- Professional level in Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or similar

Preferred:

- Strong theoretical knowledge in design theory, HMI, psychology, or similar

- Specialized expertise in accessibility/WCAG

- Knowledge of UX research/user studies
