This is what your new colleagues do
At Core System Platform we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture, a key for enabling innovation within areas such as advanced connectivity, machine learning and autonomous drive. Our mission is to create a Vehicle Control Unit platform using new technologies like NVIDIA DRIVE™ OS and NVIDIA’s latest chip technology in combination with more traditional car signaling technologies. We are committed to deliver platform functions simplifying the application development to create a safe, reliable, and secure platform solution within Volvo Cars for increased innovation and speed.

What you will do
As a software developer within Core System Platform you will work as part of an agile team, building solutions which are safe and reliable. You will write software enabling our solutions to be compliant with the highest safety grades in the car industry. The team you are joining is, together with three other teams, responsible for the Application and Service framework in our core computer. Together we are providing frameworks which support our large community of internal developers when developing customer functions.

You and your skills
The following skills are needed:
·         Highly skilled in C++ development in embedded systems. Experienced in C++14 (or later version of C++)
·         Python knowledge
·         Embedded Linux Development and debugging skills
·         Experience from standard version control systems (Git), build systems (Make/CMake), and release management tools such as Jenkins, Jira

Meritorious qualifications:
·         Knowledge about ISO26262, MISRA, and safety critical application development
·         Developing frameworks and APIs
·         Automotive experience

To be successful in this job we believe that you are a humble person with great communications skills in English, both written and verbal.
