Software Engineer

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer to strengthen our System Development Tools team. Here we develop a set of tools (PLUS+1 Tools) to support our customers in creating and maintaining control software for machines.

You will join a dedicated team of 13 developers and testers working closely together in a global matrix organization with customers all over the world. Our office is in Älmhult, Sweden but we also offer hybrid working models’, option to work from home, and relocation (from inside EU only).

Eventhough if we are seeking candidates with experience in C++ development and QT, this could also be a good opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career to become a true specialist in the field of software engineering.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Software Engineer, you will support the development with implementing new functionality in our tool chain. Your areas of responsibility will be to:

• Contribute to the overall functionality of our tools.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Develop software solutions using a high-level language IDE.
• Provide maintenance and support for existing tool functions.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced C++ developer with knowledge in QT, but final tasks and responsibilities can be tailored according to the chosen candidate’s experience, potential and interest.

Background & Skills

AS the ideal candidate we expect you to have some experience in software development practices, processes and design. You hold Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field. It is essential that your English language skills are fluent.

To get up to speed, you are familiar with C, C++, C#, Delphi, Java and experience in QT is a plus. It’s beneficial to have knowledge from Windows application development, but experience in mobile or web application development could be relevant.

On a more personal note, you enjoy working as a part of well-functioning team where everyone has their individual tasks with a common goal. You are structured and can adapt into changing situations when needed.
