Backed by Schibsted News Media, the largest media group in Scandinavia, we are now on a growth journey which requires us to strengthen our offering and elevate our app experience.

We are looking for an iOS Engineer who will play a key role in the development of our app, with a focus on user interface and application architecture. You will work closely with the full team of engineers, quality assurance and designers, to develop features from idea to production, and you will have the ownership of the whole experience together with your colleagues.

Our tech stack in the team:

- We use SwiftUI as a main UI framework; RxSwift and Combine; Moya, Kingfisher, Lokalise.
- For CI/CD we use Azure Pipelines, for tracking and crash reports - Firebase.

As part of your daily work, you will:

- Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the Podme application.
- Foster collaboration both within and beyond your team to innovate and implement features and functionalities.
- Write clean, well-structured code that upholds high standard, and is easy to understand and modify.
- Cultivate an exceptional end-user experience by closely partnering with designers and product manager, crafting iOS-specific solutions.
- Uphold product quality standards alongside the QA-team.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an iOS Engineer who thrives at creating exceptional user experiences while maintaining minimal technical debt. Furthermore, the candidate should have:

- Strong understanding of the iOS guidelines for development and design.
- Ability to build straightforward yet extendable architecture that expedite the development of new features.
- Sound expertise in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Comfort with both imperative and declarative programming paradigms, as well as familiarity with functional and reactive programming principles.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for code quality and ongoing enhancement.

Our interview process:

- Recruiter screening (30 min): an initial call with the tech recruiter. We'll tell you a bit about us, answer any questions you may have, and learn about your background and what you're looking to do.
- Technical interview (90 min): the first half is a live refactoring session, you’ll be shown a sample code and we will discuss what to change and how; for the second half we will ask tech questions and you will be able to discuss our tech stack.
- Values interview (60 min): face-to-face meeting with engineering manager and product manager focusing on your previous experiences as a teammate in various situations.
- If you are interested in talking to more potential coworkers or have additional questions, we will arrange additional chats for you.

Other information:

- Hiring form: full time, working 1-2 days a week from our office in Stockholm is both welcomed and encouraged
- Relocation package: not offered at this time
