Telecom business is transforming into cloud based solutions with more open interfaces.

This drives a great need for increased automation and introduction of AI/ML services in Radio Access Networks (RAN).

The Cloud RAN Intelligent Automation Department is responsible for the Life Cycle Management solution for our RAN. Our vision is an autonomous RAN with a minimum of manual interactions and we will build assurance solutions to always optimize the network configuration for best customer experience. We are growing our organization with a skilled person in software development who care about well-crafted software and reliable systems.

You will face new technics and methods, like microservices and AI/ML also integrating CNCF components into Ericsson Cloud RAN solution, at the same time as the system architecture and the solutions are being developed. You need to be comfortable to work on unspecified tasks and changing requirements.

What you will do

• Participate in design activities, such as analyze, design and code implementation, test development and documentation.
• Participate in integration activities and continuously perform system integration of what’s been developed.
• Follow our features all the way to customer making sure it works as expected.
• Daily collaborate with the other team members to reach our delivery goals.
• Engage and suggest changes to improve our performance.

You will bring

• Excellent cooperation, communication and people skills.
• Large interest in continuously develop your personal competences and skills.
• MSc or BSc level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Interest in software development in general and comfortable in Go, Python, JAVA.
• Experience with some of the following: Git, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Spinnaker
• Experience with open source and proprietary cloud and virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, OpenStack, Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Proficiency in English in conversation and writing.
• Knowledge within any of the areas Telecommunication, AI / Machine Learning or Agile ways of working is beneficial.
