Summer job "Developing a Web-based GUI for AGV Fleet Manager" - Kollmorgen

Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems and works with customers in many

We are offering summer job for 6-8 weeks that will start first or
second week in June. You will work together with one of our development
teams. For us it is important that your task is relevant for your
education, that you will learn new things, develop yourself and of
course we want you to have fun.

Brief description about the Stationary team
You will be part of our Stationary team which develops the System Manager NG (SMNG). The SMNG is the fleet manager for the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system. SMNG tells the AGVs where to go, how to get there and what they should do when they arrive while simultaneously maintaining an incident free traffic flow.

In SMNG, there is a Console application to where the user can view the state of the fleet manager and perform manual actions.

Task:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic frontend developer to join our team this summer. In this role, you will start the work of transforming our existing console application into a user-friendly web-based GUI. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project and gain hands-on experience in web development and AGV Systems.

You will:

- Collaborate with our development team to design and implement a web-based interface for our existing console application.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

- Work with modern JavaScript frameworks of your choice to develop a user-friendly GUI.

- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best coding practices.

- Assist in integrating the frontend with backend services and APIs.

- Contribute with ideas and suggestions to improve the application's design and functionality.

What educations are applicable?

- We are looking for bachelor students who are in their second year (BSc) & master students (MSc) who study year 3 or 4.

- You are studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant technical program.

Required skills:

- Knowledge of .NET and C#.

- Knowledge in frontend development (preferably ReactJS but other web technologies are also acceptable).

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious skills:

- Understanding of RabbitMQ and Message-Oriented Middleware: Knowledge of RabbitMQ as a message broker, including how to consume messages in a frontend application.

flexible working hours, and we also have a gym that is free to use for
