Cloud Center of Excellence FinOps Manager

We are now seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join Swedbank’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) as a FinOps Manager.
As a FinOps Manager within CCoE , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our bank's technology roadmap and initiatives. You will work closely with senior leaders, technology teams, and various business units to support strategic transformations that will position us for success in a rapidly evolving digital banking landscape.

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

- Contribute towards Swedbank’s Tech & Data Strategy by aligning stakeholders and management expectations in championing cost-efficient utilization across the organization.

- Advise on enterprise initiatives that drive innovation and competitive advantage.

- Monitor and track cloud spending, identifying discrepancies or opportunities

- Work closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of cloud costs.

- Conduct in-depth cloud analysis to identify areas of optimization and cost efficiency.

- Develop a deep understanding of the technology offered and stay up-to-date with the latest developments.

- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and FinOps practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights related to cloud usage and spending.

- Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and operational improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.

- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives, finance teams, and technical teams.

- Collaborate within a supportive team culture that values equality, rejects hierarchy, and encourages a fun work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep familiarity with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and have a strong understanding of cloud technology. The primary responsibilities of this role include cloud analysis, identifying cost efficiencies, and providing recommendations for operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they will be responsible for effectively communicating and presenting optimization strategies to stakeholders, management and cross functional teams

What is needed in this role:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights.

- Deep familiarity with financial concepts and budgeting processes.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Understanding of cloud technology and services, including infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS).

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Relevant certifications and or degree in a related field (e.g., FinOps Practitioner, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) is a plus.

- Be willing to travel to meet stakeholders, management and team members

- Be eager to learn about, or already possess some knowledge in, digital technology, IT cost trends, IT product and support systems, and vendor/supplier relationships.

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to confidently present to senior stakeholders and address technical challenges in English
