Role Overview:

As a Backend Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of the server-side systems that power Entropia Universe. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable backend solutions, ensuring seamless gameplay experiences for our global player base. You'll collaborate closely with friendly and talented multidisciplinary teams, including game designers, frontend developers, and system administrators, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems to support gameplay features and functionalities.
• Optimize server performance to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new gameplay mechanics and features.
• Implement security protocols and measures to safeguard player data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backend systems.

Examples of skills we value:

• C++, C# .net, Python.
• Devops knowledge.
• Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Database programming (SQL, NoSQL).
• Actor model.
• Experience with backend development, server architecture, and database management.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Familiarity with game development principles and methodologies (bonus).
• Problem-solving and communication skills.
