We are looking for a Content Designer to join our growing team. As the second content designer at Mentimeter, you will play a big part in shaping the role, the way we work, and crafting the product experience together with your partners in Design, Product, and Engineering.

As a Content Designer, you will focus on on the written aspects of our product experience and using microcopy and product content to solve user needs and achieve business goals. It involves levelling up our writing practice through audits, establishing guidelines and content patterns, and use them to create more cohesive experiences. You will help push our tonality and how it connects to our brand values, collaborating with other copy functions within Marketing, Sales and Support to create alignment.

As a Content Designer, you will support multiple teams across the entire product experience, looking holistically at how we express ourselves, but also help identify specific needs and initiatives.

Who we are looking for

To thrive in this role as a Content designer, we believe you are someone who loves the craft of writing, has an eye for user experiences, and can push content design at Mentimeter forward. You collaborate well with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers. You are as passionate about crafting clear and compelling messaging as solving user needs.

You believe in the power of experimentation and balancing gut feelings with insights. You use hypothesis writing, validation, and iteration to ensure your words deliver the right impact.

You have a knack for thinking in systems and see consistency as a key perspective to your role. Creating patterns and guidelines is a natural part of your process. You effectively prioritize your time and continuously evaluate where you can make the most impact, and which initiatives to treat with an “80-20” mindset.

Skills and requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an English-speaking Content Design or UX Writing role.
  • Write and speak English at a native level. You are highly skilled at turning abstract concepts into simple sentences.
  • Have worked in a product company with cross-functional teams and identified ways to scale content practices across teams and areas.
  • Have helped build processes and guidelines for UX writing or content design in a product context and are interested in shaping the role of content design at Mentimeter
  • Continuously use insights throughout the writing process to understand, ideate, and validate.
  • You can lead, support, and enable others while working on complex projects across multiple teams.
  • Create positive relationships and consistently show the value and impact of great content.
  • See diversity and inclusion as key aspects in both your writing and the teams you work with.

Not required:

  • You don't have to know Swedish (daily work is carried out in English, and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 40 different nationalities!)
