Technical Engineer - Store Infrastructure

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Engineer to play an important role in enhancing our store infrastructure through the strategic implementation of technology solutions. This position involves a blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking to improve both operational efficiency and the customer experience across our global retail footprint. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical skills, a passion for IoT/Edge technology, and a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Will play an important role in advancing our Smart Store Core Platforms, implementing technologies such as RFID for real-time garment tracking and inventory management.
• Implement, and optimize technology solutions that align with our retail operational goals, focusing on scalability, reliability, and user experience.
• Engage in continuous evaluation of new technologies and trends.
• Provide expert guidance on the integration of digital platforms and physical operations.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners.
• Support communication and cooperative efforts between the Store Infrastructure team and other business.

Qualifications:

• Cloud Services & Containerization: Good understanding of Azure & Google Cloud and Container Application Management at the Edge.
• Scripting Knowledge for Automation: Scripting abilities in Python, Bash etc. are crucial for automating tasks within the store infrastructure, improving efficiency and reliability.
• DevOps and Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, specifically GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Network and Security: A solid understanding of network configurations, security protocols and cybersecurity.
• System Administration Proficiency in system management, including experience with Linux, Windows Server, and different hypervisors like vmware, KVM etc.
• API Platforms: Should understand how to integrate and utilize APIs from various platforms.

Nice to have:

• Retail and Edge Experience: While not mandatory, experience with retail operations and Edge technology platforms can be a significant asset.
• Project and Product Management Skills: Knowledge of project and product management practices is appreciated, as it can assist in the orderly management of initiatives.
