Senior Software Engineer working with Data - Digital Core

We seek a Senior Software Engineer working with Data - Digital Core to join an International Company in Gothenburg, Sweden.

You will work within a unit that delivers digital solutions supporting engineering value creation. Within this unit, work with the overall architecture and cross-functional initiatives, covering a broad scope across the organisation.

This is a nine-month consultant contract starting April 1st, 2024, with the possibility of being extended.

Main responsibilities

• Development of software that mines and organises data used in the In-Car Software development to deliver a meaningful mapping of dependencies and relations of the various software components building up the software in the car.
• Develop and implement data mining algorithms and techniques to extract information from large datasets.
• Design and develop data processing pipelines to efficiently clean, transform, and structure data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on developing Software in Python and one or more relevant back-end programming languages such as Java or .NET
• Solid understanding of data mining techniques, algorithms, and tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning frameworks.
• Familiarity with graph data technologies such as Neo4J.
• Experience in working with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Previous experience in the Engineering Domain at Volvo Cars.
