Your Responsibilities

The photonics engineer will be responsible for leading the efforts in the realization of stand-alone laser modules for deployment in industrial environments.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Design integrated photonic devices on silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits fit for purpose of our customers
• Realize performance tests on the electrical, optical and thermal response of the photonic devices
• Design control techniques for laser stabilization
• Develop prototypes and assist in the transition to production
• Lead the packaging efforts for thermal stabilization and fiber interfacing

Our Expectations

•  4-years of industrial experience or PhD in a topic related to photonics, applied physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Programming skills in Matlab/Python
• Basic knowledge of finite element method modeling (e.g. Lumerical, COMSOL)
• Laboratory experience with fiber interfacing
• Programming experience with FPGAs
• Extensive experience with test and measurement equipment for the characterization of optoelectronic components
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaborative mindset
