Mobile Developer iOS/Android (and perhaps more)

Mavshack has been active since 2007 on the VOD markets in Europe and Asia. In 2011 we decided to focus on taking the Asian content to global markets. Firstly we launched a global website targeting Filipinos - mavshack.com - followed by a Facebook page offering free movies for fans. During 2013 we have opened mavshack.com for India, China and Indonesia.

Mavshack is now looking for a multi-talented developer with solid skills in both Android and IOS development. You will be part of the development team in Växjö and the first dedicated mobile developer in the company.

Mavshack has a few versions of apps today, a number that will most likely grow in the near future. You will be responsible for developing our apps, a task that includes both architecture, implementation and testing. Our apps need continuous updating to utilize and support functionality in our streaming products. You will also be key to providing technical input to the rest of the company with regards to the capabilities of mobile platforms and any opportunities for the rest of the products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop the Android and IOS (and maybe even Windows Phone as well as Smart-TV) apps for Mavshack.
* Ensuring the quality of the Apps by implementing tools and processes for testing
* Advise and assist the rest of the company in regards to app development and functionality requirements
* Be the central authority on mobile development and web development for mobile handsets and other smart devices
* Be a part of the Swedish development team and you'll be working from Växjö
* Interact with and assist the rest of the development team with advice as they develop content for mobile handsets

Desired Skills and Experience:
* Android development with Java and IOS development with ObjC (and debugging, testing). You need to be great with one of these two platforms and comfortable with the other!
* Architecture for mobile devices
* Debugging of web content shown in web views on mobile devices
* Web technology skills (Javascript, DOM)
* Full working proficiency in English, preferably fluent in Swedish
* You need to be comfortable with open source tools and operating systems
* Preferably at least Bachelor's degree level of academic education relevant to the job
* If you happen to know anything about Windows Phone development, that is a plus
* If you have experience in developing apps for Smart TV's and the like that's also a plus

Personal Skills:
* Attention to detail and quality, but pragmatic enough to stop when things are good enough
* Self-starting and proactive
* Open minded, easy-going

Mavshack as a work place
The development team is currently a small team consisting of a few key people. We work closely with the rest of the company and are ramping up and moving our external parts into the company. We appreciate a working environment with a flat management structure, an informal tone and room for differences. Our offices are located in Stockholm, New Delhi, Manila, Shanghai, Djakarta and this position is located at our development office in Växjö .
