We are now looking for a Project Manager to join the Firmware Platform department working closely but not exclusively with the tools team.

THE TOOLS TEAM
We develop and maintain the tools to compile, test, and publish the software that goes into Axis’s products. We strive to improve developers’ productivity and relieve them of mundane tasks by providing a continuous integration pipeline that builds and tests their changes on dozens of Axis cameras in our labs and makes it easy for them to analyze any test failures.
We have a close relationship with stakeholders throughout the organization so that the build and test environment we provide supports how they want to work.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Secure the roadmap of SW development tools within the Firmware Platform department combined with a project execution role. The time will be divided into 40% Tool Area Owner according to the responsibilities below and 60% as a project manager for activities within but not limited to Firmware Platform. Tool Area Owner will be the prioritized role to carry out.

Tool Area Owner responsibilities include: 

Set the strategies and level of ambition for the areas build & release, test management and change management Receive requests and actively seek input and ideas from the rest of R&D and work with the tools team to investigate, prioritize, and plan future activities Initiate, monitor and coordinate activities across organisational boundaries Keep the roadmap up to date and seek approval from the firmware steering group (including resource allocation) Spread information regarding changes in the tools

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Someone who secures tool-requests from within the R&D organization and extracts one roadmap to execute on.

Qualification and experience:

Master’s degree or equivalent Project management experience Excellent Swedish and English oral/writing communication skills Providing and implementing tools in a large scale organization Good presentation skills and motivated by promoting new ideas Good organizational skills, able to handle multiple running projects
Bonus if you have extra skills:

Domain knowledge Great knowledge and interest of tools and methodologies Experience with business development activities Experience from using agile development methods Former tools developer Tools development in large organisations
