Client Application development and the role

The Client Application team develops video player plugins that help our clients display ads and track data to our ad server with a minimum of effort. We provide plugins for HTML5-, Flash- and Silverlight-based players as well as SDKs for easy integration in iOS and Android applications. The plugins and SDKs allow our clients to display new innovative ad formats in their own video players without any custom development.

As a Software Engineer in this team, you will be challenged with delivering a unified and solid user experience on a multitude of different platforms and devices. The team is cross functional and works on the latest video playback technology. You will be involved in building features from concept to implementation to deployment and you will need to use all your experience and expertise.

Who we’re looking for

Most importantly you are an outstanding software developer.  Although you are probably comfortable working in several languages, it’s important that you have excellent JavaScript knowledge. The person we are looking for quickly and easily picks up new languages and frameworks and is happy switching between technologies and thrives in developing well tested, modular and maintainable code. Ideally you also have experience of developing for multiple devices including mobile platforms.

At Videoplaza we practice Agile development with proper Scrum and an interest in agile processes is important for all our developers.

Furthermore we insist that you have a passion for what you do and a hunger for learning new things. We constantly evaluate and try to better ourselves. We expect you to do the same and - just as important - help others improve as well.

All meetings and written communication at Videoplaza are in English. Swedish is not a requirement.
