IT Systems Administrator

We are looking for a

IT Systems Administrator based in Gothenburg

SYKES was founded in 1977 in the United States and is today the world leader in outsourced customer care, technical support and switchboard services. SYKES currently has over 80 centers with 45,000 employees handling customer contacts in more than 30 languages. From our eight Nordic call centers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, we provide services for both small local companies to large international companies. On the call center in Gothenburg it is currently working 300 people selling service and support to customers throughout the Nordic region.

Sykes has experienced significant growth recently and we wish to extend our IT team with another member. You will be located in our Gothenburg office and will be part of a virtual team supporting our sites in Northern Europe.

Our IT environment is mainly built on thin clients, configured depending on customer requirements. We run VMWare as the virtualization platform and mostly Windows Servers. The network consists of Cisco devices and we have Avaya as telephony platform. The work is very varied where several projects and cases running in tandem, you need to be service-oriented and structured at the same time. We see that you find it easy to dive into are a good problem solver, both practically and theoretically, and has the ability to be responsive to users and customers' needs and problems.

Basic requirements
Windows and Active Directory
Microsoft Office Outlook and Exchange.
Networking skills and some Cisco administration
Experience of working with case management and help desk

Desired skills
Relevant experience of virtualization in VMware
Remote Desktop Services and Citrix thin clients
with the thrust of the XenApp
Avaya Telephony

Language skills
Supporting Northern Europe users being a native speaker in a Scandinavian language. Corporate language is English so need to be fluent in English both spoken and written.

There will also be the possibility for travel between sites as and when required. The job is full time with permanent employment, with start date asap as agreed.
