DevOps / Tools Developer

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a candidate for our DevOps and infrastructure team in Schneider Electric?s Sverige AB and IT Business at our R&D site in Malmö.

The office in Malmö develops the core offer of our StruxureWare Building Operation software which provides integrated monitoring, control and management of energy, HVAC, lighting and fire safety for buildings. It is a centralized system which scales from a single building to a global enterprise.

We?re looking for a DevOps engineer / tools developer to work across both production and non-production environments. We are developing an ecosystem of internal tools for both our global development teams and our continuous integration environment. It?s about driving the pace of change forward whilst maintaining the integrity of our services.

Your responsibilities
As a DevOps engineer / tools developer you will:
? Implement DevOps technologies and processes, e.g.: creating containers, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, metrics, monitoring, etc.
? Automate wherever possible whilst always knowing how far is ?too far?
? Work with proprietary and open source cross platform build tool chains
? Collaborate with software teams in Europe and the U.S.

Your skills and experience
? A technical university degree, Bachelor of Science or equivalent
? Understanding of system administration tasks concerning: operating systems, application stacks, Linux, Windows, Docker, server virtualization
? Good knowledge in programming and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
? A background working with development pipelines, such as Git, Subversion and Jenkins
? Experience with different build tool chains such as MSBuild and Make
? Exposure to Agile working methodologies
? Outstanding communication and problem solving skills ? learning fast through sharing knowledge
? Fluent in English and preferable also in Swedish
