Application Specialist

ABOUT THE JOB

We're hiring an Application Specialist to our Client Support team, replacing a teammate who's moved to a new role internally. As Application Specialist you'll be responsible for answering our clients? day to day questions, as well as troubleshooting, and supporting all applications within the payments platform. To cater to the global footprint of our business, you'll be required to work on a schedule to support other time zones.

Responsibilities

- Daily support to clients, and to colleagues within the organization.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support applications both in the production and the acceptance environment.
- Deploy new applications and verify the functionality both in the production and the acceptance environment.
- Communicate with banks and partners as necessary for the payment service to operate satisfactorily.
- Participate in internal projects to supply requirements from an operational perspective.
- Apply the defined support processes for all support errands.
- Contribute to developing and improving the payment services, the support processes, and the overall client satisfaction.

As a person you have the ability to handle different tasks simultaneously, being flexible while continuing to deliver high-quality results. Our days can be busy and are always filled with new challenges, and you will need to work in an organized, structured and accurate way to solve them. We have a knowledgeable and friendly team to partner with, but you must also be comfortable problem solving independently.

Desired Skills & Experience

- Knowledge of and experience from working with Linux/UNIX environments
- Data communication and networks
- Data encryption
- Databases and SQL
- Programming and scripting
- Knowledge of and experience from working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Excellent written and verbal language skills in English is required, including the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with others. Fluency in Swedish is preferred, but upon other relevant language skills not required.
Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is highly advantageous and a big plus, alternatively English on a first language skill level.
