QA Test Engineer to support our Asian Exchanges

Nasdaq is currently looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our North Asia and Japan Solution Team

As a QA Test Engineer you will be integrally involved in meeting our challenge to develop robust high quality software, with ever increasing performance requirements and simultaneously contribute to improve agility and time to market in a changing business and regulatory environment. You will work in a team with highly motivated and skilled programmers, business analysts and test engineers in an international and dynamic environment. Main tasks as QA Test Engineer
- Review of customer requirements and test specifications
- Create test plans, test specifications and test reports
- Create automated testcases in our internal Java based autotest framework (OMexus)
- Execute manual and automated test cases
- Track and maintain defect lists and aid development teams to ensure resolution of reported defects
- Provide customer support
- Maintain and improve working processes to gain efficiency and effectiveness

Expected/beneficial experience and skills
- Bachelor in computer science, engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant working experience - preferably in the Financial Industry
- Programming skills in Java
- Experience of Test Automation
- Experience of different Testing Methodologies
- Understanding Product Development Lifecycles and Product Issue processes
- Effective communicator as the role may require to liaise with development/business teams and with clients
- Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
- Experience from the financial industry and communication protocols, e.g. FIX is meriting
- Programming skills in Perl is meriting
- Understanding of financial markets and the index business is a plus
