Function SW Developer

The department of Active Safety has been a rapidly growing part of Volvo Car Group over the last decade. Through continuous launching innovative and world first safety features, Volvo Cars has positioned itself among the leaders of the automotive industry. Now the work continues to reach our ambitious vision that by 2020 no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo. We are currently looking to fill several positions within Active Safety.

As a SW function developer you will be part of a team of developers and verification engineers and be working in an agile scrum team. The team works close to different stakeholders such as function owner, system, sensor SW owners and actuator developers and verification personnel. The team develops SW for autonomous vehicles and emergency warning, steering and/or braking functionality that intervene when there is an imminent risk of an accident.

Main responsibilities

* Develop software with the help of model-based programming, data analyses
* Create and configure test simulation environment
* Perform function testing in real vehicles on test track and expeditions
* Develop and maintain tools to simplify data analysis
* Do system safety development

Required qualifications

* M.Sc. degree within Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent experience
* Experience of the complete automotive embedded functions development chain such as defining Solution, SW implementation, verification and analysis
* Driver's license B, valid in Sweden and adequate driving experience
* SW quality assurance methods
* Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ is meritorious
* Knowledge and experience of working with Volvo Cars different systems is meritorious
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
