Global R&D Dishcare - Software Engineer

The Software Team within the Performance Technologies department of Global R&D Dish Care is looking for a software engineer.
The Performance Technologies department is a global function working towards the sector Product Lines, being part of the centralized, Stockholm based, Global Product Development organization. Its primary task is to develop product innovations for dishwashers on the global market.

Key Responsibilities
You will design, develop and maintain embedded software for mass produced products, as well as IT/PC software for R&D internal tools and systems. Being responsible for delivering critical system control software modules you will also be involved in the creation of general product system design specifications, as well as performing test data analysis and creation of test specifications. You will work in collaboration with colleagues located in different geographical sites, and you may on occasion be requested to travel internationally.

Required Competence:
To meet the requirements you should have a Master of Science degree from a university program in which software engineering is a natural part of the program scope (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering, theoretical physics). Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of documented experience from working within relevant development projects is required.

The summed experience from SW development projects shall include:
· frequent use of SW revision handling tools (e.g. SVN, GIT)
· use of bug handling tools (e.g. Bugzilla)
· use of Requirement and Test handling tools (e.g. TestLink)
· use of document revision handling tools (e.g. SmarTeam) · working in agile SW development processes (e.g. Scrum, XP) and TDD · planning and execution of both dynamic and static SW verification
· use of markup language · development of applications using any of C, C++, C#, Java or Python · implementation of software for embedded systems MCU:s (e.g. FreeScale)
· implementation of database interface layers
· creating technical documentation and presentations in English.

Desired Skills and Experience:
· Fluent in Swedish and English
· General high level of logical reasoning and spatial skills
· Methodical work approach
· Basic handling of workshop and lab tools such as oscilloscopes, drills, cutters, soldering guns, etc.
· Willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment, and on occasion travel internationally

Non-critical but also valued skills:
· Mechanical design (e.g. Catia) for mass production
· Control systems engineering (e.g. incorporating PID controllers)
· Electronic design (e.g. Spice)
· System level environment testing (e.g. temperature, shock, EMC, vibration)
· Thermal physics · development of LabView applications
· Fluid dynamics · Signal processing and analysis
· Project management · MSSQL or MySQL database design · Statistical analysis · Utilizing XML schemas
· Assembly, MS Visual Basic, ASP.NET, PHP
