Senior Operation Quality Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Operation Quality Specialist ready to take on the challenges in the Unix Platforms unit.

UNIX Platforms is part of IT Operations and we are responsible for supporting Nordea's business applications and internal IT services with stable IT solutions. Here we use the latest technology, and you will be part of a strategic operational business unit with employees in Copenhagen (DK), Stockholm (SE) and Gdynia (PL).

Our unit provides the Operating System and system software support for approximately 5000 Unix and Linux servers (RHEL, SLES, Solaris, AIX, IBMi). We are responsible for keeping the systems compliant to policies and standards. Our work is guided by a general Process Framework, and the work with adapting and optimizing our procedures and work items to this framework is performed in the team in cooperation with IT Process Management.

You will coordinate and drive a broad range of strategic development activities, and your responsibilities include:
-Act as second level support for stakeholders on regional level and secure delivery of accurate solutions and feedback to ensure high availability for customers.
-Actively drive and manage execution, analysing and proactive improvement of processes to contribute to optimal service performance and to enforce stable and robust IT deliveries.
-Be responsible for own development, with the ambition to achieve satisfying results.
-Support other team colleagues in their development and thereby build skills and capabilities to achieve satisfying results.
-Actively drive and carry out daily operational maintenance and interact with other IT teams to maintain stable operation and to achieve the service level agreement goals.
Drive and contribute in workshops, process analysis, design and implementation to support the Value Chain in taking decision regarding operation.
-Take lead in planning of cross functional process development activities to contribute to continuous operational improvements.
-Actively lead in improving and optimizing process quality activities to contribute to efficient cost control and quality.

The position can be located in Sweden, Denmark or Poland.

The qualifications you need

You enjoy working as a coordinator of team activities cross Operating System platforms, and as a driver in implementing changes according to long term roadmaps. You are capable to relate your technology area to enterprise wide governance concepts and business goals, and to communicate such awareness within the team.

To succeed in the role we further believe that you:
-Have a relevant higher education and at least 5 years' experience from a senior Unix/Linux specialist role, with experience from a large or medium sized international company.
-Have a business oriented approach and a problem solving mind.
-Are an excellent communicator and able to get your point across in a large organisation.
-Have a service oriented approach, where you enjoy helping and inspiring your colleagues.
-Enjoy working in a multi-national team and master English both spoken and written on a professional level to communication
