Backend Developer to SVT

We are SVTi, the interactive department of the Swedish public service and provider of online media services for millions of people!

We have the pleasure of welcoming a new backend developer to our agile CMS team, working on the core foundation and platform used for news publishing all across Sweden, including integrations with SVT Play, Öppet Arkiv and SVT.se. Our platform is built on Escenic using Java 8 in a microservices architecture. This opportunity means you’ll get to work in a small team developing APIs, making architectural decisions with responsibility for the product life cycle and contributing to the Continuous Delivery pipeline.

Therefore we’re primarily looking for someone who is proficient with Java 8, however you’ll also have the chance to learn and work with:

Spring and Spring Boot
Docker containers
Cloud services
Microservices architecture
Continuous Delivery / Integration

Having previous experience working as a backend developer is great of course, but if not - don’t worry! For the right person we’ll provide you with the proper training for it. With that said, the right person is a doer and a problem solver, with a true passion for programming and always eager to learn. You need to be able to manage your own work as well as helping out your teammates when needed.
