In the department of Interaction Development at Volvo Cars electrical unit this is where it happens. We consist of about 50 employees working with all from soft questions within HMI development to hardware and software development within the Driver Information & Infotainment area.
The group Interaction Development is now looking for an Interaction developer HMI Core

You will be a part of the team responsible for creating the HMI solution and requirements on how the user's interaction with a system or function should be conducted. You will be the link between system & function engineers, suppliers and the end user.

Main responsibilities:
As an Interaction Developer for HMI Core you will be responsible for generating the UI components, i.e the main structure and building blocks, for creating the user interaction solution for the Infotainment, Driver Information and Driver support areas in the coming cars, according to the Volvo philosophy "Designed around You".
The requirements on the interaction are described in, for example user scenarios and detailed flow charts. This is done by working with specification and visualization tools such as Visio, but we are currently investigating other tools for Interaction solution development, so knowledge in that area is preferred. The challenge is to put all the details together without losing the complete picture and the user needs.
The role includes collaboration with graphical designers, software developers and functional owners from different departments as well as internal and international contacts with suppliers.

Required qualifications:
. For the post of suitable education at least 160 points, (4 years or equivalent knowledge obtained from practical experience), specializing in interaction design human / machine interaction, cognitive science or equivalent.
. General computer skills are required and knowledge of the following programs: MS Visio, Photoshop, Illustrato.
. Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, English and Swedish.
. Documented experience in human-machine interaction.
. Experience in technology development for the automotive industry.
. Software and system design development is a plus.
