Opportunity for a Hadoop Administrator

For our customer we are looking for an experienced Hadoop administrator. Please go through the JD and let us know if it fits in your expertise and experience.

Our customer is now establishing a ?data lake?.
For this reason the Infrastructure Delivery team at our customer is looking for an infrastructure specialist with deep Hadoop administrator competence.
You will be responsible for installation, operation and maintenance of our Hadoop platform based on Hortonworks. You will work with our Linux technicians within Infrastructure services to optimize operation stability and platform performance.
You will be part of a team that takes overall responsibility for infrastructure deliveries and work in close dialogue with our developer groups.

Your responsibilities
Implementation of the Hadoop platform based on Hortonworks
Hadoop cluster administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting etc)
Monitoring and review of logs
Performance tuning
Knowledge transferring to our team

Your skills
Experience in Hadoop architecture and setting up of Hadoop clusters
Experience in Hadoop cluster administration
Experience in the administration of Hortonworks using Ambari admin console
Experience in HDFS, Hue, Hive, Sqoop, Flume and Yarn, HBase and Map reduce, OOZIE
Implementation of security in Hadoop cluster (Knox and Ranger)
Good knowledge of Linux environments, storage and big data
Experience on Linux Shell Scripting and HDFS
Good knowledge on agile methodology
You are a team player and have leading skills
You are open minded and motivated
