We are now looking for a concept engineer to join our Solutions Lab.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a concept engineer you will create new solutions that utilizes Axis devices. The solutions are created by either integrating our devices with products from a partner or from a 3:rd party or simply by adding new features as a software add-on.

Your main tasks will be to:

Create new fields of application for existing Axis products Analyze given use cases and design desired solutions together with the orderer Decide how to set up the system, and agree on a test specification Identify and solve problems together with suppliers and/or Axis experts Develop applications
THE SOLUTIONS LAB
The Solutions Lab is an agile team within the Extended Video Products organization with its main focus on creating reference designs for typical installations based on Axis and 3 rd party products. In this lab we validate concepts and test and evaluate externally developed products, but we also develop smart solutions to simplify installations and get systems of different products to work together.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We think you are a creative, open-minded and goal-oriented person that can work well both independently and in a team. As the role involves much communication with other teams within Axis as well as with suppliers, it is important that your communication and listening skills are excellent and that you have a strong sense of responsibility. You are a problem solver, with a strong drive to make things happen. You are “hands on” and combine this with your genuine technical interest.

This position includes a variety of challenges. You need a solid technical base, but you also need to be curious about the latest developments in consumer electronics, mobile software and web design. You need good communication skills as you will have to create internal contact networks to easily find help or answers to open questions.

You have at least a Bachelor in computer science or similar and experience from C-programming in a Linux environment. Experience from other programming languages or web developing is a plus.
Your English is fluent, both verbal and written.

It´s desirable that you have documentation skills to write technical test reports.

Additional to above it´s good if you have:

Knowledge about System design Knowledge of IP networks Basic knowledge of Electronics and computer hardware design
