Senior Backend Developer

Time has come to migrate our PHP monolith into a microservice architecture, thus we are looking to level up our backend team with an experienced software engineer. Someone who can provide us with the extra knowledge needed to modernize our system architecture. We don’t require you to have expert knowledge of any specific language, but we are definitely looking at Python, JavaScript and other open source tools as primary candidates.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

About you (the more the better): - Experienced in software engineering - Deep understanding of system design, data structures and algorithms - Skilled in microservices - Prior experience of migrating to microservice based architectures - Experienced in server based programming languages such as Python, PHP, Node.js, etc. - Experience of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, NATS, etc. - Familiar with Linux development/deployment - Knowledgeable in database models (SQL, NoSQL) - Experience of Financial Technology (FinTech) - Appreciates working in a team

The dev team at Billogram builds and maintains the entire system, from the complex invoice processes of the backend, to the interactive and visual challenges of the frontend. We build our platform using a variety of technologies such as Python, redis, RabbitMQ, MySQL, React/Redux, AWS and others.
