We are looking for a Database Developer (DBD) and by Database Developer we mean a person with a Database Administration type back ground who is also interested in Front End Development. You could say that this role involves an end to end approach. A Developer who is interested in Databases or a Database Administrator who interested in Development, you choose.

We are looking for a DBD that is willing to not only evolve themselves but can also evolve our environment. The primary focus of the role will be to support the Developers with their Database Interactions so they can concentrate on build cutting edge software. You have a strong focus on tuning the data layer of Java applications! You are an expert in Database performance tuning and development and would love the challenge of joining a technically challenging environment working in a cutting edge team.

Your primary Database focus will be on Oracle but we also use MySQL, MSSQL and we have a variety of NoSQL setups. The Oracle database environment today consists of Oracle 11g and 12c running Enterprise Edition RAC, the MySQL environment is also clustered. The current NoSQL solution has a strong focus involving Couchbase and some Casandra. The majority of the development is done using Java and Spring-boot. We have a strong focus on a High Availability and zero downtime approach.

Our Database team at Unibet is a vital part of the AMO team. You will be part of a Team that is responsible for a strong working relationship with and supporting all of the development lifecycle as well as having the responsibility to managing databases

Key accountabilities of this role are

Act as a database expert for all development teams at Unibet
Evaluate and test new technology
Work as part of the DBA team to evolve our database environment
Work close together with the Infrastructure and Network team to build the best platform for our databases.

We're looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience

2-5 years Database experience
2-5 years Programming experience like ?Java%? or lower(?c%?)
A plus if you have any experience in MySQL, MSSQL or NoSQL
Strong customer service and conflict management skills
Good knowledge in DB-designing and development
Develop routines to keep a stable and high performing environment
Social and communicative
Able to work in a team as well as taking your own initiatives
